The effects of the Pandemic on employment continue to be seen.
After a slight decline in August, Eurostat data certify +0.1 percent in September, meaning a return to July's 6.5 percent. There are 11 million people unemployed in the euro area out of a total of 13 million in the EU. THE leading country by unemployment rate is
Spain with 12 percent, followed by Greece with 10 percent. Italy ranks 4th with 7.4 percent jobless, followed by France with 7.3 percent and Croatia with 6.8 percent. Belgium (5.6%), Romania (5.4%) and especially Bulgaria (4.5%) are doing better.
