LOW WAGES AND PRECARIOUS WORK ARE THE MAIN DIFFICULTIES ON THE EMPLOYMENT FRONT FOR YOUNG SPANIARDS

The report "Young people in the midst of development and pandemic crisis. How they look to the future" , carried out by the Reina Sofía Center on Adolescence and Youth (CRS) of the Fad Juventud Foundation and the Pfizer Foundation, reflects and delves into the impacts that the Covid-19 pandemic has had on the lives of men and women, young people, both in aspects related to their
mental health and vital development.
The survey data was conducted on a sample of 1,200 young people aged 15-29 years, carried out in early 2022.
The young population is facing a difficult environment: the most important collective problems--in their opinion--are low wages (37.8%), job insecurity (30.4%), and the difficulty of emancipation (29%). followed by unemployment (24.6%) and the mistrust society has for young people (24.9%).
